女優。遠藤周作氏主宰の劇団「樹座」で芝居の面白さに目覚める。2009年、通訳を辞め、芝居を学び始める。以降、映画や舞台で活躍。出演作品には、映画『審判』（2018年／ジョン・ウィリアムズ監督）、映画『老人ファーム』（2019年／三野龍一監督）等がある。
Born and raised in Tokyo. After graduating from college in 1976, she moved to New York due to her husband's work, gave birth to four children and came back in 1983. While being a full-time mother, acting experience through Kiza Theater Company, founded by Shusaku Endo, which she passed and joined in 1992, sparked her enthusiasm.
More ambitiously, she studied and finished simultaneous interpreting school
in 1996, and got employed by Oriental Land Co., Ltd., working as a certified on-site / conference interpreter for the construction of Tokyo DisneySea. Since focusing on her acting career by quiting regular job to realize long-awaited dream from her childhood of acting, she has actively performed both in films and on stages.
